YOUTH

"kids now of days."........ this article gave an insight on teh youth of america and the problems that we face. that children are having problems and struggling in school and so on and so fourth. how do we as teachers improve upon this?? a teacher cant just be teaching the reading writing and math. they have to teach life skills. and at times reall really focus on life skills. there is more important things top living life that answers to a etst. teachers have to be there for their students to be a role model in life. not just force them to learn the capitols of the usa.

i read another article in sports illustraed about high schools in oakland. and how about most D1 athletes are getting killed simply beasue they are good. great athletes are now choosing not to play becasu ethey are affraid they might get killed for being succesful at something. what is this world coming to when you are succesful that people are that against you they have to kill you. students killing other students becasue they won a basketball game.

there is a problem with the youth today. but how does it end? it seems to be getting worst. parenst have to get invloved and i think teachers have to be there for help when it comes to life situations. take a time out from the nbooks and help them succed in everyday life...
sorry i have missed spelled the word article the last two weeks....

this articel was interesting again. once again it makes me think about how my classroom might be and the challenges of being a teacher that lie ahead. in a perfect world a teahcer might be expected to teach 2+2 = 4 anbd the students learn it and everything is perfect. but there more that that. much more. how can a taecher begin to teach if a student or students have bigger problems in their life than 2+2. the student could come from a broken home that doesnt provide for a healthy living environment for teh student which can cause they student to act out. being a teacher in this situation can be very tricky. the teacher has to get over so many other obsticles that just the lesson plan. it is important for teachers to foster the growth of students not only in education them but helping them with certain situations that they are going through and give them support and an outlet through education.

the articel was interesting. good way to get my mind thinking on becoming a teacher. i have always been thinking on what my classroom managment is going to be. this article makes me think about it a lot. will i be able to create a environment where all kids feel comfortable? not have an hostile environmnet for studenst to be in. its a very hard thing to do. some teachers probably dont even realize they are doing it. in one of my classes we talked about classroom managment. what should/shouldn't be allowed. "you throw a ball like a girl" its harrasment. will it be taken as a joke or as an isult? whats good reasoning? i feel that its all in teh context of what is going on. there are so many gary areas in classroom managment its hard to be right all the time. an articel like this makes you step back and realize situations we will be facing as teachers and we face everyday....
